We are fast approaching the deadline to register for Komen Columbus Race for the Cure. You can pick up a registration brochure at the shop if you need more information. Deadline for mail-in registrations is April 17th and the 24th for on-line registration. To register on-line, go to http://komencolumbus.org/. After you provide sign-in information, you can then sign up for the event and specify Always in Stitches as your team. Remember! If you sign up with us, you will get a free AIS team T-shirt. Wearing your Race for the Cure shirt (either the "official" shirt or the AIS shirt) OR your race number will give you a 30% discount at the shop (not including clearance items) after the race. We will also serve hor d'oeuvres right after the race while you shop.

Dog Approves Quilt

Former customer Sara Rodgers moved to Kunkletown PA last summer and discovered that her new home is at least an hour from the nearest town - UPS doesn't even deliver to her! She had been working on a quilt made with the Quilt Patis before she left, and after getting everything unpacked and settled, discovered that she didn't have enough fabric or Patis to finish the project. She made an emergency call to a friend, who rushed to the shop, purchased Patis and the 2 yards of fabric she needed, and got it in the mail. As you can see, one of the dogs approves the new quilt-in-progress - he told her so!

If you have a quilting emergency, just give the shop a call - we'll be right on top of your request!!

Oh! Almost forgot to mention - we got some new Jelly Rolls and some new books in!

New Jelly Rolls and Layer Cakes from Moda

Hi everyone,

We are working on different aspects of the blog and I needed to send out a test so I thought I would tell you about the new layer cakes and jelly rolls that we recently received.

From Moda, very pretty, Avairy and Beach House. Both are nice, we are waiting for the matching yardage. These are the fabrics that Bunny Hill used in their free applique block of the month. We do have the layer cakes to accompany these.

Another busy week at the shop

Hey everyone!

This past week was very busy at the shop. We had a couple of different lines of fabric come into the shop. On Monday the other McDiggs girls and I had a book signing in Logan which was a lot of fun. On Thursday I went to the QQ meeting where Ruth McDowell was the speaker. She showed us a lovely slide show of her work. Wow, she is inspiring. Here is her latest book and a link to her website:
